Therapy Support

DAISI offers Counselling, Psychology, Psychological Assessments and Behaviour Support services through your NDIS Plan.

Our highly skilled professionals are dedicated specialists in their fields.

DAISI staff will work collaboratively, provide detailed reporting, and use an ecological approach.

We will work in line with Disability Services Act and NDIS Commission.

We will help you to build your capacity to grow emotionally and psychologically towards being personally fulfilled.

Sessions can be in person, via telephone or through virtual face to face.

Counselling

DAISI’s Counsellors will support you to uncover the solutions to your concerns and weigh up the options available to you.

Treatments are tailored to meet the individual needs of each person, drawing on a range of therapeutic interventions.

DAISI will assist you in finding and engaging with your authentic self to build your own resources and capacity to support your ongoing treatment needs.

Psychology Interventions

DAISI’s Psychological Services have been established with the mindset that different issues require different solutions or interventions. Every person is unique and brings their own set of circumstances with any request for help. Our psychologists are able to provide a range of evidence-based interventions in response to the variety of issues that can present for people. We have the ability to provide both individual and group based therapeutic interventions, depending upon the needs of our clients.

Psychology Assessments

DAISI can provide the below packages:

  1. Cognitive and functional assessments to inform support planning and NDIS funding.
  2. Above assessments plus neuropsychological testing, behavioural assessment, risk assessment, mental health screening and ASD diagnosis.
  3. Comprehensive/complex diagnostic and psychosocial assessment including all of the above.
Positive Behaviour Support

Taking a proactive and holistic approach to supporting people with disability in situations where behaviour they display is deemed challenging and has potential negative impact on daily activities, learning, relationships, quality of life, and community participation.

DAISI’s Clinical and Provisional Psychologists will use Positive Behaviour Support strategies and methods that aim to increase the person’s quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.
